Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving in Windsor with my dad, his wife Peggy and my sister Genna. It wasn't the most formal of dinners, considering the boys were throwing their food off their high-chair trays and onto the dinner table, but what do you expect from 16 month old boys. We had a very nice visit with them. The day after Thanksgiving, Sepp, Nancy, Nick and Jacob came over to my dad's for a while and then we went down to my mom's for dinner. It was very nice to see a lot of the family for the holiday. I am so thankful for my wonderful husband and four beautiful children. I am also very thankful for my mom, who is always willing to help take care of her grandchildren.

Halloween

We had a very enjoyable Halloween this year. We met a few of Clara's classmates down at the pumpkin patch in Morgan Hill. Clara enjoyed running through the pumpkin fields with her friends, jumping in the hay stacks and going on the merry go round. On Halloween, we hosted the neighborhood kids for a pre-trick-or-treating party. Clara dressed up as princess Ariel and Michael, Tighe and Cian were dressed as fighter pilots (the Red Baron). Unfortunately, they didn't want to wear there hats, but looked cute anyways.

Clara starts HSS

On August 24th, Clara started Pre-Kindergarten at Holy Spirit School. Daddy came home from work early so that he could be there to pick Clara up on her first day of school. Then Mommy and Daddy took Clara for an ice cream and talked about her first day. She is doing very well at school and is making lots of new friends.

Vacation to Newport Coast - August 2009

One week away from the home was exactly what I needed. A change of scenery. I'm still getting used to being a stay-at-home mom. We spent a very nice week down in Newport Coast at the Marriot Vacation Resort villas. We made it down to the pool everyday and took a couple drives up to Newport, Balboa Island and down to Laguna Beach. Bryan went home to work for a couple days in the middle of the week and Gigi got an opportunity to meet up with some of her college friends who were able to meet the boys for the first time. The drive down to Newport went pretty smoothly however the ride back was a little bumpy (to be expected). All in all, it was a great get-away for us and we would definately stay there again.

The 1st Birthday - July 26th 2009

We definately had cause to celebrate. We survived the first year of raising triplets. And we were surrounded by so many of our family and friends that provided us with so much love and support over the past year. We couldn't have done it without them and so many others that weren't able to make it to party. We wanted to say thank you! THANK YOU!!!!

The Gobbett family

We had a great time at our first Relay for Life. Our team name was Tighe's Team and we raised nearly $5,000 for the American Cancer Society. Of the 40+ teams that participated, we were the 2nd highest fund raisers and individually Gigi and Bryan were the #1 and #2 highest fundraisers for the event. We are so grateful to all of our family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and fellow members of the Gemini Crickets multiples club who so generously supported us in raising money to fight back against cancer. Thank you to all of our friends that came out and walked with us (Emilie, the Oswald family, Stacy, Jessica, the Missey family, Bryan's co-workers, Kiley, Jason, Ann-Marie, Julie, Monique) and showed their support for Tighe. We were so proud to honor Tighe for putting up such a brave fight against his cancer and to celebrate his life with the other cancer survivors, like our friend Kylie, who has been so courageous in her fight. We were humbled to see how many people are still fighting. We were deeply saddened to see how many people have lost their lives to cancer.

American Cancer Society fundraiser this weekend
