Cian comes home

At 9 days old, Cian came home with us this evening. He was the biggest of the three at birth. He was a bit of a lazy eater for the first few days but has really come on great in the last 4-5 days. It was really great to get him home. He's sleeping at the bottom of our bed right now. Clara had a lot of fun helping us get him ready to come home.
It looks like Tighe will come home tomorrow (Tuesday). He has also been doing great.
At one point today the doctors said Michael might also come home with Tighe on Tuesday. However he did have a couple of very large spit-ups today. This will probably affect how much weight he puts on today so thet may keep him a little longer. Michael has been eating great the last few days but doesn't seem to be getting the same weight gain as Cian. One of his large spit-ups today was right after they gave him liquid vitamins and iron. They said it's not uncommon for some of the babies to throw up after being given this. And I think it's fair to say that Michael has the most sensitive stomach of the three.
We've had Gigi's friend Jennifer (friends since high school and Maid of Honor at our wedding) stay with us the last few days. It's been great having her here. She's been a great help. Clara really loves her. It's been fun to see Clara do things that she's learned from Jenniferduring the last few days.
The Van:
Seven months ago, as we left the doctors office, still in shock after finding out we were having triplets, Gigi was opening her car door and out of the blue said "by the way, there's no way we're buying a mini-van." I concurred before she even finished the sentence. Well, after looking at many different options, including a double-decker bus, we now own a mini-van (picture above). It'll be hard on Gigi to give up her beloved beast, the 350 BHP VW Touareg. But she is being very brave. :-)

How cute is that picture of Clara peeping into Cian's car seat? Both of them are just gorgeous. Thanks for the pictures, it is great to logon everyday and see some new ones or a new story (although i'd say it will be impossible to keep it up when all the lads come home...)Gigi you're looking great, you'll be a yummy mummy driving around in your mini van :-)

Those precious pictures are worth a thousand words as I missed the first homecoming, but can see the joy in everyone's face. I'll be back after just one phone call.
Love, Gramma Marge

Oh this is fantastic, Clara is so cute beside her little brother. I hope Michael and Tighe come home today because Cian might miss them not around. I'm delighted Cian is home but he is the brave one coming home first. Gigi you look amazing. How do you do it??? Your a NATURAL at this. Did you ever see the film "Cheaper by the Dozen"....Not a bother to you. I just feel that i'm there.. Its all very exciting. Bryan you have to send me a picture of the lads nursery.

Bye for now
Lots of love

I am a long time friend of Gramma Marge and eagerly read the updates. What a blessed event this has been. Clara is so cute dancing for her brothers.

Congratulations on Cian's home coming. It's just like when you moved in and we didn't even know you lived next door. We didn't even realize you snuck him home last night! Can't wait to meet him. BTW, I also said I would never drive a minivan, but I have come to cherish my beloved car, especially when I'm toting a group of loud boys in the back. Enjoy your "mom bomb!"
