What a day. What an unbelievable experience. The three boys were born today and I'm very happy to report all three are doing great. Gigi is doing okay. The birth took a lot out of her but she is in good spirits and the nurses are taking good care of her.
So, the details. They were born just over 7 hours ago.
Baby A was born at 4:08pm on July 26th 2008, 5lbs3oz and 19 inches long
Baby B was born at 4:09pm on July 26th 2008, 4lbs15oz and 18.5 inches long
Baby C was born at 4:09pm on July 26th 2008, 5lbs5oz and 19 inches long
The birth went great. After being cleaned up each baby was brought over to Gigi and she managed to give them each a kiss. The delivery room (OR) was a spectacle. Two anaesthesioligists, three doctors and an assistant doing the surgery, two nurses for Gigi just behind them and a doctor and a nurse for each of the babies. Including Gigi, the three babies and me, there were 19 of us in that little operating room. Funnily enough, 19 seems to be an interesting number for us. We were having a laugh just before the births today in the OR that Clara was born 19 minutes after we got to the hospital. And these guys were born 19 days after Gigi got to the hospital.
All three are in the Special Care Nursery. All have eaten and all are doing well.
I just finished feeding Baby C and will go back down to the nursery to feed Baby A and Baby B at midnight. Gigi will hopefully be allowed down to feed them in the morning.
I know some of you might be wondering about the names. Well, we have names picked but we just want to have a closer look at the lads tomorrow to make sure the names fit :-)
Clara went home with her Grandmother this evening. Clara, Marge, Don, Jay and Jason were at the hospital during the birth.

I can't believe you have gotten pictures up already! Thanks so much for sharing with all of us. They are incredible! Very handsome and such a good size. I can't imagine where Gigi put all of them?! Her organs must be breathing a sigh of relief this morning. ;) Many congratulations to all of you. What a beautiful family.
