We just got word from the OR that it's taking longer than expected, but they've assured us that everything is going very well. They didn't want to give us an updated estimate on when they would be finished. It’s been more than four hours now.
They did tell us this morning that the 3-4 hour estimate was just that, an estimate, and that it could easily take longer. At this point I’m just really looking forward to the surgeon coming out and letting us know how it went, getting it straight from the horse’s mouth so to speak. Then the thing I’m REALLY looking forward to is seeing Tighe again.
Gigi and I are just hanging out in the waiting room, doing our best to distract ourselves… We're the last ones in the waiting room now. All the other families who went into surgery this morning have left, thankfully all seemingly very happy with how the surgery went for their kids.

I know the waiting is the hardest but he is going to be fine. I'm keeping mam and Dad updated. We all wish we were there with you both.
Dear Gigi and Bryan , We know this is a very hard day for you .But Tighe has done exceptionally well up to now . I am glad to hear the doctors say that everything is going well.Lets hope that he is out soon . love mam and dad .
