Just left him with the surgeons

He was happy and content as Dr. Jolley took him to the operating room.

We were up at 4:30am this morning. Arrived at the hospital at 5:50am.

Tighe was talking up a storm in the waiting room, engaging everyone who looked his way. There was an undeniable defiance in his voice. He quite possibly was saying "bring it on." As usual he had a smile for everyone.

We're not expecting to hear anything until around noon when the surgery should be complete.

Thanks to everyone for your support and comments on the blog here. We really enjoy reading them.

Will post an update when we get news.

After saying goodbye to Tighe at 5am I didn't awake until 7:45 to Clara telling me Michael wanted to get up. Bottles for both and Clara off to school by 8:35.
Good to hear Tighe is in a fighting mood today. Victory
Love, Gramma

Hello Gobbett family,

just realized the update in your blog and the fact that Tighe is due for surgery at the moment.
It is great to hear about the progress the liddle guy made in he last months and the optimizm you all have, including Tighe himself.

We press all our thumbs for the surgery today and hope that this will drastically reduce the uncertainties you lived with in the recent time, and that this in particular for Tighe will also be the last major treatment.

All the best from Germany,
Bärbel, Marcus and kids!
